Casual/Temp Childcare Worker

We have fully screened and qualified carers on our books Australia Wide. We can assist with a strong pool of casual candidates when needed and to suit your needs, whether it be a Cert lll Childcare Educator, Diploma trained Childcare Educator or someone who has completed their Bachelor of Early Childhood education. We gain a full understanding of your requirements upon engagement in our services so we can best match the level of experience with our registered childcarers.

Abracadabra is already an established provider to Childcare Centres Australia Wide. We operate from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and also provide an emergency outside hours contact number which means your centre will have access to our quality services 24hrs, 7 days per week. We service Australia Wide both Capital Cities and Regional Areas so you can rely on us exclusively as your preferred supplier.

Do I get to meet the Childcare Worker for a Casual or Temporary placement?

If you choose to engage in our services for casual childcare worker we will select the carer for you ensuring to the match the criteria and requirements set out by you.  We will phone you to provide you with a full briefing on the candidate and will email a copy of their Certifications and Clearances for your records. You can change your carer at any time as the booking fee has been paid at the time of the booking.

Can I have the same casual childcare worker that I had last time?

Where bulk bookings are required we will certainly have the same carer for each booking to maintain consistency.  If regular bookings are required we will always endeavour to send you the same carer for your Centre.  Please keep in mind that the longer in advance that you can let us know the more likely it is that we will be able to maintain consistency with the same carers for you. However, we will always have someone available for you for a same day booking.

How far in advance do I have to book?

As mentioned above, the sooner you let us know the more likely we will be able to have the same carers available for you.  However, we will always be able to cater to any emergency situations or last minute bookings with a new carer for you if your regular carer is not available.

How are ACS Childcare Workers screened?

All Childcare Workers are subject to the Working With Children check, must have current First Aid Training and Qualifications at the level you require. We also conduct reference checks with previous and current employers.

Permanent Placements

You can choose to employ a permanent care through our agency where you will receive unlimited candidate profiles for your consideration. Upon your engagement in our services for a permanent placement we would contact the carers who match the criteria set out by your on your registration forms and we will also advertise the position to enable us to present you with a good selection of candidates. The agency placement fee is quoted as a percentage of the annual salary so please contact us for a tailored no obligation free quote and a copy of our Terms of Business.

Booking Fees & Payment Terms

How much will I pay the agency for casual bookings?

We have a casual daily booking fee and a charge out hourly rate. The hourly rates include:

  • Current Award Rates
  • Payroll Tax
  • Superannuation
  • Casual Leave Loading
  • Workers Compensation
  • Public Liability Insurance
  • Administration Fee covers processing pays and associated bank fees

How do we pay the agency?

The agency booking fee is payable at the time of the booking via Corporate Credit Card or we can engage in a 7 day Term invoice arrangement. The assigned carer will be provided with a timesheet to bring along to her assignment for completion at the end of the working week. We ask that you please authorize the timesheet by signing and dating. It is the carers responsible to return the timesheet to us for payment of hours worked.
